A local garage door company in the state of Florida, USA.

Specialize in the sale, installation and repair of various brands of garage doors for both residential and commercial properties.

Goals:

Initial data

Project type: service site

Niche: Garage doors installation and repair 

Timeline: 7 months

Promotion region: USA

Landing pages: old site on the constructor, good technical condition (but difficulties in loading speed), no landing pages

Problems

#1 Poor site structure: having only basic pages (such as Contact, About) and no services pages

#2 The pages of the site contained little content that did not give a full understanding of what services the company provides

#3 Lack of backlinks. The site had a weak link mass, strengthening the link profile was not engaged in

#4 Lack of organic traffic growth. The site had low traffic without visible positive dynamics for a long time.

Promotion Strategy

At the start of our work on the project, the site was almost empty – there were no landing pages for services, reference work has not been previously conducted, there was no semantic kernel. Where we started: c in-depth analysis of competitors to determine our own strategy and possible points of growth. In total, we determined the main directions of the strategy for promotion.

Stage 1: Technical and SEO audit of the site

We conducted a technical audit of the site, as a result of which we eliminated problem areas.

It should be noted that since the site is on the constructor, many technical comments could not be eliminated and all the work was accompanied by immersion of the team in the functionality of the constructor with further connection of the content manager, worked without the participation of the developer, but with the support of the team of the constructor.

Stage 2: Semantic kernel and content preparation

1. Since there were no pages on services and no semantic kernel, we acted as follows:

  • Collected a list of potential services based on the existing content
  • Collected information on the structure of competitors
  • Prepared a final file with the recommended structure
  • Agreed with the client on the list of our services and prioritized them

2. Next, we moved on creating new pages with simultaneous preparation of content for each of them (text, meta-data, content). That is, the pages of services were created not in bulk, but by individual elaboration – we prepared TOR page by page. At the output – unique pages, corresponding to the competitors in the output.

3. In parallel, we started creating standard pages for each of the locations in which the business operates.

4. After filling the site with the necessary pages, started moving around the blog to attract additional traffic.

Step 3: Work on the link profile

In order to understand how to build up the link mass, we first developed a link strategy for the project based on competitors. Competitors were analyzed by the following parameters:

  1. total number of donors and backlinks
  2. link mass growth dynamics
  3. type of links (crowds, articles, crowd links, catalogs, etc.)
  4. link quality

As a result of the analysis of competitors, we derived the recommended budget and started working on building up the reference mass of the project according to the planned link strategy.
